The number five holds a significant position in almost all Buddhist traditions. It refers to the five colours, five senses, five wisdoms, and five elements, all of which are symbolically expressed in the form of the Five Buddhas.

In recent years, the concept of "mindfulness" has become very popular, but the roots of a similar system of mindfulness based on the Five Buddhas date back to the 6th century AD, when Buddhism gradually began to spread in Tibet.

This Five Buddhas singing bowl is therefore a suitable aid for meditation focused on mindfulness and inner concentration.

According to Tibetan tradition, the roots of singing bowls date back to the time of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni (560 – 480 BC). This tradition reached Tibet from India in the 8th century AD.

Singing bowls create sounds that induce a state of relaxation and naturally help transition into a meditative state.

They are an important aid in meditation and can be found in Buddhist temples and monasteries, as well as in yoga studios around the world.
