The worship of the Medicine Buddha, the supreme healer (Sangye Menla in Tibetan), is considered an effective method not only for promoting healing and developing healing abilities for oneself and others but also for overcoming internal "diseases" such as attachment, hatred, and ignorance.

It is believed that meditation on the Medicine Buddha can help alleviate both physical and mental illnesses and suffering.

According to Tibetan tradition, the roots of singing bowls date back to the time of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni (560 – 480 BCE). This tradition came to Tibet from India in the 8th century CE.

Singing bowls create sounds that induce a state of relaxation and naturally aid in transitioning into a meditative state.

They are an important aid in meditation and can be found in Buddhist temples and monasteries, as well as in spaces dedicated to yoga worldwide.

This singing bowl is handmade in Nepal by traditional artisans.
